Diamond cut is graded on a scale ranging from Excellent to Poor. A diamond cut too shallow allows light to escape through the bottom. One cut too deep loses light through the sides.
When it comes to diamonds, the less colour, the greater the value. The GIA colour grading scale runs from D to Z, where D represents a completely colourless, icy-white diamond of the highest purity, and Z indicates a faint yellow or brownish tint.

SI1–SI2 (Slightly Included): Inclusions noticeable under magnification, usually not visible to the naked eye
